Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start my first breathing session?

+

Open Dayflux and select your goal (Sleep, Recovery, or Focus). Choose a session duration that feels comfortable, then follow the visual and audio guidance. Start with shorter sessions (2-5 minutes) and gradually increase as you become more comfortable.

What if I feel dizzy during a breathing exercise?

+

Stop the session immediately and breathe normally. Dizziness can occur when you're new to breathwork or pushing too hard. Always breathe within your comfort zone and never force your breath. If symptoms persist, consult a healthcare professional.

Is my breathing data private?

+

Absolutely. Dayflux stores all data locally on your device. We don't have servers, don't collect any personal information, and can't see your breathing sessions or progress. Your breathwork practice is completely private.

When is the best time to practice breathwork?

+

It depends on your goal! For better sleep, practice 30-60 minutes before bed. For focus and energy, try morning sessions. For stress relief and recovery, practice whenever you feel tense or after workouts. Consistency matters more than timing.

How long should my breathing sessions be?

+

Start with 2-5 minute sessions if you're new to breathwork. As you become more comfortable, you can extend to 10-20 minutes. Listen to your body and never push beyond what feels comfortable. Regular short sessions are better than occasional long ones.

Can I use Dayflux if I have breathing difficulties?

+

If you have any respiratory conditions, heart conditions, or other health concerns, please consult with your healthcare provider before using guided breathing exercises. Dayflux is designed for wellness and should not replace medical treatment.

How do I track my progress?

+

Dayflux automatically tracks your session history, consistency, and total practice time locally on your device. You can view your progress in the app's statistics section. Focus on building a consistent daily practice rather than long individual sessions.

Does Dayflux work with Apple Health?

+

Yes! Dayflux can integrate with HealthKit to enhance your breathing sessions, but we don't store any of your health data. All HealthKit information remains securely in Apple's Health app. You can control these permissions in your iOS Settings.

What's the difference between the breathing techniques?

+

Each technique serves different purposes: Sleep patterns help activate your parasympathetic nervous system for relaxation. Recovery techniques reduce stress and inflammation. Focus patterns increase alertness and mental clarity. Choose based on your current needs.
